2 yrs post implant

It’s been 2years and I have been miserable.  I’ve visited three cardiologist and since test don’t show anything, I’m being told nothing’s wrong.

Dad has gone downhill after pacemaker

My dad has lost quality of life since he got his pacemaker. He can't walk for long without getting out of breath and his heart function has lowered from 40 to 20 percent. Has a lot of water retention and is now in hospital for 2nd time and given the DNR and hospice talk. We have all suspected the pacemaker is not working well for him. PMT

Seen Doctor today. Diagnosed me with PMT, with early beat. Pacemaker was implanted for sinus pause and now having constant tachycardia episodes. Pacing 67% top lead 8% bottom lead. Having nuclear stress test in a week and an echo for "interogation" per the doctor. Can anyone explain this better? Is this dangerous? Heart Rate

I was placed on November 7th of this year. On November 20th, I had a lead revision and removal of badly infected tissue in my original pocket. 

I have noticed a sudden increase in my resting heart rate especially this past week and I am wondering if this is just a normal part of the healing process. I could not sleep last night because I think my body thought it was at the gym! My resting heart rates at 2am were 118!!!

Swelling in left foot

I had a pacemaker put in three weeks ago and I have had some swelling in my left foot it doesn't have the symptoms of a blood clot the swelling seems worse at the end of the day they tell me that this will get better with time. But I don't know? Any one else ever had this problem?

Pacemaker being removed due to misdiagnosis

Hi, I've had my Heart Monitor for 7 months and my Pacemaker for 6. I switched from a Cardiologist to a Electrophysiologist when things just seemed to keep going from bad to worse. Good Morning!

Over reach pain severe

This is my 2 pacemaker , is not to deep how Dr implanted .. it got i implanted 1 year ago..i was driving and from sitting position I reach all the way down on car carpet while sitting and I felt this severe Sharp pain on my pacemaker area and felt like a stretch muscle I do also have history of shoulder tendonitis ..any thing tyo be concern about ? Muscle spasms?

I was wondering about pacemakers and muscle spasms and if they have any relation? I started to get some very painful muscle spasms this year, i was given muscle relaxers and pain medications but now, about 3 months later, I am gettimg another muscle spasm. Can pacemakers cause this? Or possibly Neurocardiogenic syncope? I have no clue why I am getting them. Maybe i damaged something with my many falls throughout the years from fainting. Any one have these issues? Thank you

New pacemaker help

Hi, I am very new to this I am 6 days post op. I went home the day after surgery and havent felt good since. I have a "pulse" in my stomach, very strong it looks like I have a baby kicking inside my stomach. My BP is now 150/110 which I was always normal pre-op. My heart rate runs around 86 but I feel the pounding all the time, the kicking is worse when I am sitting, so I dont sit now. Pain

I am almost post 3 weeks from the implant of my dual chamber pacemaker.   My incision has healed well.  My question is about left arm pain.   Sometimes it feels like I’m having horrible muscle spasms in my left armpit.  Is this normal?  Any tips on pain relief??

Good morning pacers! Wondering has anyone had a lot of pvc's after getting a pacemaker? I have always had some pvc's but since I got my pacemaker Iam having one right after the other. Went to see the cardiologist yesterday. put me on medication, just not working out only made them worse. Just wondering is this normal.

Pain in armpit and left arm after pacemaker surgery

I had a pacemaker implanted on November 8.  The third wire became dislodged within 2-3 days and I had follow up surgery on November 20.  After the second surgery, I have swelling, tenderness and mild redness under my left armpit and down my left arm.  I have no fever.  I did the night I came home. It was 102.3.  Has anyone else experienced this after effect ?

Problems with being 100% paced

i had a pacemaker implanted in 2012 for heartblock and used the pacemaker for about 40% of the time. I now use the pacemaker 100% of the time and my doctor has tried everything to try and get my heart to work on its own but no luck. He tells me that over time the heart gets lazy and just stops working. I am now 54 and do worry what the future will hold as I am told it is a degenerative disease and can only expect more problems.
