Hi.....I am a resident of Arizona and live there during the winter. I have a cardiologist there who implanted my pacemaker this past January. I am currently in N. California where we stay during the summers and while here will be due for my 6 month checkup by an EP in mid-July.. How can I find an EP in my area which is in the general area of Lodi (preferably) and Sacramento County.
Any help is much appreciated.

Had a Medtronics Advisa DR MRI installed 2 months ago. Diagnosed with carotid sinus hypersensitivity. Doctor says it is set for the following:
Normal use: 60bpm -130bpm
Pacemaker is set to intervene if bpm drops 20bpm and drops below 60bpm. If I understand this correctly if pulse drops from 85 to 65 PM will not intervene. But if it drops from say 75 to 55 it will since the low number is below 60.
I have an occurrence usually once a day. My heart rate...

I just came from my drs appointment. Had my pacer evaluated. On the screen it shows my pacer as a zephyr do dr model 5330r but there doesn't seem to be that model number in the zephyr series. Only in the affinity series. So I have again been experiencing dizziness and periods when my pulse drops below my base rate. How do I know that they are evaluating the correct pacer. Confused? If anyone can answer it would be nice to understand this...they say it is functioning properly and it should...

Everything went well today on my follow up with the Dr, He did show me that bottom of my heart is the problem, and is paced 100 percent of the time at a min. of 60 bpm but runs about 75-80 bpm. He felt sorry he would not be able to see me again since my insurance is through the VA, but he has back payments of up to one and a half years billed to the VA.
I spoke to several people this week through the VA and my congresswoman's office and they are aware of the problem but as of now noth...

Just wanted to add to my already lengthy message, the coughing and sore throat has not abated after taking the omeprazole for 5 weeks.
He needed the pacemaker for SSS and I believe its set on factory settings but not sure.

I am new to the site am writing on behalf of my husband. He has had his pacemaker for about 10 weeks. Since then he has been diagnosed with Atrial flutter and has been put on bisoprolol 2.5 once a day. They wanted to up the dose but he was so tired and out of breath with this he refused.
He has also developed a cough, a sort of needing to clear his throat continously and sometimes feels there is something stuck there. The GP though this might be acid reflux and has prescribed...

Hello,
On a recent Medronic ADDRL1 interrogation report it listed high rate episodes VHR with the following
Dates & Times, duration, rates, MAX A, MAX V, AVE V and Sensor with a rate from 80-93......
My question is what does the SENSOR number mean?
My other report had sensor numbers in the 40-50 range during high rate episodes.
Thank you for your assistance- Cheers
please help! Concerned

Hi,
So I have a quick (I think!) question about my recent pacemaker check. I have a Medtronic atrial pacemaker and up until now all readings have been within normal limits as far as I am aware. My impedance has steadily gone down from 1001 ohms to 776 since October 2014 and pacing percentage has gone from 30 to 56%. Sensing has gone from 3.10 mV to 2 with fluctuations in-between.. All of this I assume is normal.
What I was wondering though is could anyone explain...

Well just before my holiday the second consultant got back to me.
He reckoned that an ablation was the way forward for my PM tach, as my upper rate was only 110 and I frequently exceeded the tracking rate, also paced 90-100% in the ventricles. He also claimed there was no evidence of Afib,so I could come off the meds.I know have been referred again to the arrhythmia folk at another site.
We had a nice time on holiday but was limited and also had 3 bad nights of not getting any sleep du...

Hope I am in the right forum.
My pacemaker was implanted July 2015. During my first checkup I complained of lack of energy. My EP tweaked my pacemaker to a 70 HR and that corrected the problem. Since them I have had the occassions where my HR dropped to 45 - 55 bpm.
I am using an Omron BP meter and my Oximeter to observe my HR. One doctor told me that my home equipment cannot pick up all the beats and that is why I get a low reading.
The past few days I have been getting...

I had a Medtronic Advisa DR MRI A2DR01 implanted in Nov'15 due to bradycardia & heart block events during runs. After beginning running again in Jan'16 the pacemaker (or maybe my natural heart function) did a great job of maintaining around 140+ bpm throughout 40 to 50 minutes runs. Then, in Mar'16 my heart began blocking again at 20 to 30 minutes into the run (from 140 to down below 120 bpm) making further running anaerobic. Yesterday my Medtronic rep evaluated and turned "Rate Adaptive AV" f...

well I started a cardio rehab program, three times during it I almost passed out. so at 3 month follow up no adjustments were made, and a tilt table test scheduled.
Guess it isn't very common to have a tilt table test after already having a pacemaker/icd implant already. Nurse was enjoying not to have to put a 12 lead ekg. on.
well the day of the test, the drive that would normally take 40 mins tops ended up taking right at 2 hours. first bp was done laying down and...

Does anyone know the answer to
Whether the percentage of pacing for the resynchronisation device (not a pacemaker) is set by how well your heart is functioning or is it a pre set percentage by the technician?
many thanks for your kind response or where i can read about it

Hi! Had my three month interrogation yesterday and it went well! I am so glad I listened to my Doctor who did not want me lifting anything over five lbs and not to lift my implant arm above my shoulder for a full three months! My cardiologist does want to make some changes with a guided ultrasound with the Medtronic rep...ever heard of that? I also found out my third lead is not screwed in like the other two leads. It just flops around in my vein. Everything is good...thanks for listening!

PM is Medtronic A2DR01 MyCareLink model 24950. Can it record when I am in A-Fib? I received the monitor when I got the PM but it was never set up for monitoring.
Thanks,
Jack
