Still syncope

Hi all I am new to the group. I recieved my PM July 12,'18. I had a car accident in March 2018 where I passed out while driving.  My car flipped several times and I had 5 broken ribs. Medtronic- 3 "Taps" on my chest- Reoccuring

Anywhere from 1-50 times a day, I get a "tapping" sensation that happens on my chest. It occurs in the same place, just below (or at the very bottom) of my heart, and it always happens in pairs of 3 (is that correct grammar, "pair" if it occurs three times? lol).  It is a strong sensation, and almost feels as if someone were poking me with their pointer finger on my chest trying to get my attention. Heart beat/tic/jirk feeling

 I have a curious question. From the past two days I have been feeling this beat/tic/jirk I think it’s from the nerve  because it feels like a heart beat and  it happens in my whole, but not sure. It’s not that hiccup/jump feeling you! 

I moslty get it when I move or I move my eyes suddenly, do you think it could be the wires?

Recall Boston Scientific - Accolade MRI DR Pacemaker Model L311

In Jan. 2018 I had this pacemaker placed. Have had nothing but issues and are still having issues. The doctor who did the surgery says I just have to keep getting it adjusted, been adjusted twice, even though every EKG still shows events of Afib. Neck pain

My husband is a Vietnam veteran who is 100% disabled from Agent Orange and had a quadruple bypass 9 years ago.  He developed an arrhythmia that persisted so he was fitted with his first pacemaker about 2 months ago.  He only weighs around 145 - 150 and it protrudes from his chest very visibly.  The wound site has given no problems healing, but within a few days of the placement, he developed pain in his right neck and the bones pop when he turns his head.  He went to...

Hardening around pacemaker area

I’ve had a pacemaker for around three years now. I’ve recently noticed a hardening around the area of my pacemaker. The hardened area seems to be increasing. There’s no more soreness than usual, but I feel something unusual is going on there: Swelling? Infection? Normally I can trace the edges of the device when I touch the area, but I can’t feel it any more. My readings have been fine my last few check-ups. Should I be concerned?

Active Heart Rate

I have had my pacemaker since 2016, and to my knowledge, have had this issue the entire Life of my pacemaker:

Pacemaker induced cardiomyopathy

I am a 63 year old white male with occasional low heart rate.  A pacemaker was recommended and implanted to correct this issue.  My ejection fraction was 50% to 55% prior to the procedure.  My post procedure symptoms were worse and I was unable to return to work.  A complete blood and physical work up was done, but no cause for my fatigue was determined.  An echo was ordered two months after implantation indicating the following results, ejection fraction 25% to 30%.&...

Missed Beats

Hi All,

For the last month and a half I have been experiencing missed beats in my ventrical.  My doctor put me on a CAM monitor to monitor the episodes of missed beats and its been confirmed that I am in deed missing beats that last 3-7 secconds at a time.  As the time has gone by and last wore the CAM monitor its happening more and now I have numbness in both arms and in my face when this is happening.  My doctor cant seem to put his finger on whats happening and thinks...

Resting heart rate much higher than normal

I had my implant 7/19 and then had a lead reposition on 7/20. My original issue was bradycardia. I know from my recent check up that my paced rate is 75, so I shouldn't dip too far below that for very long. Until recently, my heart was staying at 75 when I was at work or just sitting, but the last few days my resting rate hasn't gotten below 85 and is often over 100. Gag reflex still after 3 weeks?

3 weeks ago I had a pacemaker implanted.  Since then I have had:1

1. a new hypersensitive gag reflex.  Can't wear tee shirts or button my collar without feeling like I am going to vomit.

2. approximately 1x/day dizzy spells when I feel nauseous.  I may be motionless for 30 minutes before when this nausea arises.

3. dizziness when my eyes move quickly, especially while walking.

Low lead impedance

I heard a low warning sound from

my icd last week and was told my atrial lead was reading a low impedenece. The device technician was not concerned . It happened again with a different technician and she called saying she will talk to the dr tomorrow but it is probably a lead failure and may need to be replaced. Has anyone had this? Thanks

Pacemaker lead perforation

Live in Southern NJ.  I have had three pacemaker lead perforations and revisions.  Have seen Mds in Philadelphia, Camden and Dr Chung at Cleveland Clinic.  I believe I am perforated again.  Any recommendations of an EP doc that can figure out what is baffling all that have seen me. Willing to travel.   Thanks for any advice.

Symptom Return

Received a Medtronic 2-lead PM about 2-mo ago, due to long standing Bradycardia!!  For the first 3-4 weeks I felt like Superman, with renewed enegy and NO extreme lite headedness with exercise!!

However, now my lite headedness has returned during exercise (increased demand)??  Sometime just geting up from setting and going to the other end of the house brings on lite headedness, as well as what I describe as a feeling where I have a pounding heart beat!

throat pain?pain taking deep breath

I just had my new pacemaker put in last month but I was stupid and completely forgot to ask my cardiologist exactly what pacemaker he was going to put in.
