Medtronic Global Heroes

Dear all,

I have finally decided to apply for the "Medtronic Global Heroes 2016" program. If selected, I'll be running the Medtronic TC 10 Miles race in Minneapolis in October.

Now, to support my application, family members, friends etc. can recommend me as a global hero. If you'd like to do this, please go to their website and fill out the form (my confirmation number is: D4NQ7JYQLY7).

Thanks a lot for your support!

Count me in, Inga . I will fill in the form a.s.a.p.

I hope your CLS gets you round OK and best of luck on the day

Ian

PS : To be grammatically correct, I see you more as a "Global Heroine "

Thanks, Ian!

Your support really means a lot to me!
CLS is a real pain when running at the moment. During my first half marathon, it continuesly let my heart rate drop. No fun :-( And I'm really angry with the Biotronik people as they are of no help at all. They just don't respond. I sent them the heart rate curve from the half marathon, and they never got back to me. It sucks.

i was pleasantly surprised to read on the website that people with any manufacturer of PM are eligible to apply so the fact that you have a Biotronik and not a Medtronic hopefully will not affect the selection process.

The lack of response from Biotronik is very bad.

It is amazing that Medtronic are not restricting the event to people using their brand of PMs / Insulin pumps etc ,but they are not and you deserve the global hero title for so many different reasons.

I see that Medtronic would pay for flights to Minneapolis ( hopefully from Berlin in your case ) and for accommodation which I think is fantastic.

I hope that you get loads of support from PM club members

Ian

Hi Inga would like to support you but the form is asking for your surname which I don't know. Can you let me have it or will the form just accept your registration number?

It wanted your first and last name, confirmation number, our name and email. It didn't specify what or how much to write. Fingers crossed you get in!

Hi!
My surname is "Drossart". Not sure, if you need it. I thought you enter your name and e-mail and my confirmation number and then it automatically show syou my name etc. But not sure about this.

Thanks so much for your support, everyone!

Limitations

by donr - 2016-05-04 05:05:33

They did not tell you of the 1500 character limitation unless you hit that point, the it just stopped letting you write.
I cannot recall what it took for the site to tell you about the limit.

I just stuck Inga's site name in the slot for the last name. Figured that the confirmation number would cross reference to her real name. it accepted that & did not choke on it.

Thanks, everyone!

Will keep you posted. The selection committee announces its decision in mid-June.
