CYA again

If you read through past posts on this forum you'll see you don't have to worry about RF from most devices commonly being used in the world today. Because we have tort law in the good ol' USA. You can sue anyone at anytime for anything. So the lawyers have gotten into the act and made the manufacturers write CYA (Cover Your A**) stuff in the owner's manuals, advertisements, and anything else they can think of. So If that one in several billion accident happens, they ain't responsible. I get sick reading it.
Back to the RF stuff. About the only thing RF you have to worry about is standing in front of a transmitting radar or microwave antenna. Don't put a rare earth magnet on top of your PM, and stay out of power plants where there are high strength magnetic fields. Other than that, go about your normal life. I've also heard you aren't supposed to lean over the top of a running car engine but I haven't run into any car mechanics who can tell me if it's a problem or not.
Enjoy your life with the PM. There's a lot of living to do.

Not me. . .

I've had my Boston Scientific S603 pacemaker for nearly 3 years now. I have been driving Lexus autos for far longer than that. When my car goes to the dealer for service, I get various Lexus models as loaners, and have never had the slightest bit of a problem. Just a big non-issue. The remote transmitters have such low power output that they don't bother the pacers at all.
Enjoy the new ride!

Another Lawyer thing...

...Those warnings are written by lawyers to cover the humongous posteriors of the Mfgrs.
We have a 2013 Ford w/ one of those keyless systems - no problems & we've had it for three months.
The question has come up several times; some folks claim that it bothered them. I suspect power of suggestion working on anxiety. Sorta a reverse Plaecbo effect.
Whoops! Just re-read the OP - do you mean a keyless system totally, or just a fob that opens the doors, but you have a key for the ignition?
We had a Chrysler van for nearly ten yrs w/ the keyless door locks only. No problems w/ that one, either.
Has it bothered you yet?
