inversion therapy

A neighbor of mine swears by inversion therapy, where you hang upside down to help with back issues. I'm wondering if there is a problem with pacemakers or blood thinners. Can it cause a stroke?

Thank you

ask your doc

Only your doctor can tell you if it's safe for you. The pacer itself doesn't cause issues, it doesn't really care what position we're in. Blood thinners, no idea. Sometimes the underlying reason why we have the pacer will limit things like that. I know I can't handle being upside down, my bp drops and I get dizzy.

Neurocardiogenic Syncope NO !

I have neurocardiogenic syncope and the answer is no. This is also used as a test called "TILT TABLE" used to see if blood pressure is affected. I passed out with my test and and it was determined I had syncope. But, years later came the pacemaker. I personally wouldn't play with this. What is wonderful for the back is stretching exercises. I have a yoga strap to do different moves. YouTube has some great ones or dvd call "Perfect in Ten Stretch" sold on amazon.

Thank you all for your advice. I really appreciate it.

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.
