I was due for my check up in August....but I had a baby instead. Anyone else miss there appointment by this much? Planning on making my appointment tomorrow but will probably be another month before I get one.

I don't pace much so I am thinking the battery will be fine. If I hit the floor I guess I will know I was wrong.

Having a baby was more important.

They have me on an annual checkup at least for the last year.

What a great way to miss an appointment...having a baby. You'll be fine and you are right on with if anything was wrong, you would know it.... Hugs....... Sue

Hello OYE,

Well, that was inconsiderate of you, have a baby rather than get a PM checkup. Just kidding of course. Congratulations, I hope you and baby are doing well.

As for missing a checkup and not knowing how much battery life is left, don't worry about that. As has been said when the time comes to replace the battery you will know and not because the PM quits either.

Pacemakers have a battery power sensor and when the batter reaches a certain level the PM will shift into a power saving mode. At this time there is a minimum of three moths battery power left. When that happened on mine it went from an "on demand PM" to one that controlled my heart rate full time. It was not painful but totally different and I knew it. I predict you will also.

Good luck,

Smitty

Congratulations!

Am sure a few months wont make any difference. Enjoy your baby! x
