If your lead comes loose, it won't pace and you'll feel like you did before you got the pm. If it's suddenly extra sore, you need to keep an eye out for signs of infection- redness, swelling, oozing, heat at the site. Any one of those signs, call your dr.
my suggestion?

if you have ANY questions or concerns about your pacemaker, you should call your doctor. if you don't feel 'right' or you don't feel 'well' and you can't quite put your finger on it? call your doctor and tell him/her. if you have pain or heat or tenderness in an area you don't normally have it, call your doctor. don't mess around with your PM. even if you convince yourself you're just being paranoid? call your doctor. it's always better safe than sorry. (Note To Self: take own advice.)
