Was wondering if anyone had any experience with having originally a Medtronic defib and leads and then changing out the lead generator to St. Jude? Any feedback would be welcome.

I think the law now is they all have to be compatible.
I'm on my 4th St Judes and have been very happy with their reps.

Most of the pacemakers either have compatible lead hookups or there are adapters that go between the cable and generator. Having said that the only way to find out is to ask whoever is handling your ICD, because there are exceptions to what I said above.
