I had my pace maker put in on 3-11-2010. They started the surgery and 8:50 am and at 10:00 am I was eating cookies and talking to my mother on my cell phone. I was ready to go home but my dr wanted me to stay over night

To you Newbies: These comments are the norm for most PM implant patients. You are "in/out", implanted & going home before you can unpack a bag at the hospital. Sweet Dreams.
I read the PM Club "posts" for 5 months before having my ablation PM implant. Some of the "posts" scared me to death with their medical complications and "posts/comments" After being assured by the bestest of the "commenters" that this was not the norm., I had the implant. It was sooooo easy, why did I wait so long? Take the plunge.
Thanks to all of your "good" comments to reassure the newbies to be. Prayers to you who are still having your complications.
Have a Great Spring,

I figure at the next replacement I'm going to insist on having it done early and then walk the 4 miles home afterwards. By then thats what it will take to outdo some of you.

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
Welcome
