Pacemaker sore

I had my second pacemaker implanted 4 months ago after having my previous pacemaker for 13 years! The person who 'sewed me up' was tugging and pulling at the stitches and banging and rubbing blood away whilst doing so. I was extremely bruised afterwards and the scar got infected and is still not right now. I am still experiencing discomfort. My cardiologist half heartedly offered to replace it....because he said it was loose. It sticks out sideways when I lay on my side and the scar looks dreadful. Nothing like my first one. Any suggestions please would be warmly welcomed, I am, apparently down on the waiting list to have it replaced, but how long is a piece of string? I really am not one to complain and was used to my first pacemaker, so it's not like I'm new to this. Anyone has any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks
