I too have the Medtronic Carelink. Arthur is right...so easy to use and takes no time at all. Saves running to docs office for testing. Much better than the old system with the wrist bands....always had trouble with it.

i have medtronic carelink i go to doctor for pm check then i use my carelink what kind phone line do you use ????

Angelie, I am set up with the Medtronic Carelink. I've never had a problem with it; easy to use and mobile if need be. the best thing about it is that if you're feeling off or getting PVCs or palpitations, you have peace of mind knowing that your doc will immediately be able to evaluate.

i order M-Link it it $11.45 per month now i wait for my M-Link device get to me so i can hook up and ready for my 1st sending in september every 3 month i use it

magic jack will not work on home monitor

i ask my doctor it place music or beep my doctor said
no it don't play music and when to the near the last year they will replace it

my pacemaker will last me 11-13 years

my pm tech see i been exercise

i can use electric clipper make sure my arm are is straight as far away from pacemaker at

The medtronic website stated that there is no charge for the Carelink set-up and equipment. Hmmmm? It did state that you might be billed by your physician looking at the interpretation, because they state, "it is as thorough as an office interrogation".

HurtHeart, now you've got me wondering. Seems we're in similar boats 'cept my problem is my local cardiologist and my EP, whom I like, is a 4 hour drive away.

and have no problems with it. I alternate 3 month to doctor then 3 months carelink. Also if you have an event or anything else that worries you you can send to doc . As far as i KNOW the carelink is free. I have a land line so no problem here with that, easy to setup, easy to use and not sure what hurthearts problems were with her unit flashing and whatever else Ive never had a problem with mine.

yes carelink is free

if you don't have no landline phone other device m-link that charge 10.99 plus tax $11.45 it plug into carelink monitor some how it feed through cellular phone tower that what medtronic told me if you have good signal on cell phone then that work that i know about that for now i wait until my m-link device come to me then i know more about it ... i know how carelink monitor work i been read all the book and viedo about it

Ive had mine since late April and no problems. It reads your PM nightly but only alerts office if there is an issue. Heart failure docs have requested a download after 60 days. That's easy but normally I don't do anything.. Just hook it up and forget it. Cost is extra if you don't have regular landline.

I have used remote testing for a bit over 6 months (am testing monthly as the battery is running down) and am very happy. It is easy to use, takes about 10 minutes from set-up to end versus the two hours it would take to get the test done at the doctor's office.
My pacer clinic calls to let me know results and to schedule my next transmission.

HiI had generator replacement last week and now got a home monitor for pacemaker medronic is it right it has no part to lift off and put against the pacemaker like at hospital follow ups in the UK

This is an old thread from 2012.  Do you want to start a new thread by posting a new message so that everyone will see your new question?  I have a Medtronic and I use the Medtronic App and a Medtronic reader (MyCareLink Smart) which I use to send transmissions to my clinic. It can connect using WiFi with the downloadable App (I have iPhone and downloaded it from Apple Store).  My pacemaker clinic set it up with me during my last in person visit to make sure that it worked properly.  I am also in UK.  If you do post again, please give as much info as you can, so that we may respond fully
