Lead?

I'm not exactly sure cause I've not had that happen but I would think it would depend on why you need your PM. If it happened to me I guess I would not be here to ask the question (no AV function) but...i would think you would go back to your pre PM symptoms and not feel so well if yoir heart was not getting the signal it needed. If it was torn i would think the pain/ symptoms would fairly bad. Were you the one playing ball with your right arm tonight or am I confusing you with another member? It's late :)

Yes

Yes I was shooting ball with 1 arm with the kids , not moving or using my left arm . I'm just curios though. My pm is in and working if not my rate would be near 40-50 and it's 75-90 so it's on tact. I just didn't know if moving a lot would pull it out.

If A Lead Came Out

I see you got your PM in Jan 2011. By now the leads will be as firmly in place as they will ever be and movement is not going to hurt anything. A hard direct blow on the PM could do damage but not likely. If a lead does come out you may notice a difference in your heart beat. That would depend on which lead came out and if that lead was the primary heart helper.

Take me for example, my PM paces the upper chamber 90%+ of the time and the lower chamber about 3 to 5% of the time. If I lost the upper chamber lead I would know it pretty quick as my heart rate would drop into the mid-40s to mid-50s, where the PM keeps it at 80, or above. As for losing the lower chamber lead, yes I would notice it, but not as quickly.

My suggestion for you is avoid hard direct blows (the ones that really hurt) to the PM and forget you have the thing.

I just have 1 lead . Lower chamber.

You know you're wired when...

You need to be re-booted each morning.
