Please forgive me for signing my message as Smitty. I had him on my minds as I was going to send him a private message as soon as I finished answering your questions and I absentmindedly signed his name. It is bad to get old.

is better than the alternative which we all here have escaped for a while.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
Moving - Security Gates

I'll answer both of your question here.
For information on the moving to Poland and getting your PM checked there, I suggest you go to this site
http://www.medtronic.com/corporate/contact.jsp
and ask them. I'm sure they can direct you to a Dr or hospital that can do the checkups.
The metal detector gates are not going to harm your pacemaker. If they do interfere with its operation it will feel like an irregular heart beat, nd that will return to normal a second or two after you get away from the gates. The security gates will not damage your pacemaker.
Good luck,
Smitty
