Position during surgery

If you were out or heavily sedated during surgery your head/next could have been put in a strained position for a long time. This can result in severe headaches. This is common in the O.R. when the patient can’t complain.
I’ve mentioned it here before, but I chose to remain totally awake during my original implant and again during a replacement. Part way through the implant someone in the OR decided to use my sternum as an elbow rest putting heavy weight on the area. They also tried to leave my neck hyperextended. In both cases I insisted the situation be corrected before continuing. I know from experience that I would have had a severe headache as well as a sore chest otherwise.
About all you can do at this point it give it a few days to heal and maybe take some Tylenol.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
Meds

Are you taking any pain meds? If you are, this could be the problem. Headache is a very common side effect from certain pain medications. Hope this helps!
