RV lead bad

Man, one year since I got my pacemaker and now the RV lead has gone bad. I have to get it replaced next Thursday. Damn, everything's been going so well for several months and I've got to the point where I don't even think about my pm, now this.

Sigh. Just venting.

Right now, I am desperately looking forward to the day I can forget I have a PM. I have had mine for about a month and nothing but problems. I've had level 5 out of 10 pain off and on since I got it. I am having a lead replaced next thurs. But not bucause it went bad. It peirced my heart. My cardio doc says everything will be fine if I don't die. LOL.

Chin up! This is why we all stick together. Your EP will get it corrected and every day you'll get better.

Read your bio. The end of the lead that pierced the heart has probably hit the diaphragm. once the lead is replaced you'll be on a better path!

If you happen to have the riata lead there may be options for you legally...two three new lawsuits filed in Minesota federal court are easy to find

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
