Leads are so near skin surface they feel like they may easily break through skin. Should I put some kind of a patch over them until I see my cardiologist? What do I use?

Thin skin over pacer

Mine are the same, but haven't caused me any problem. I just posted a photo showing my back pack straps right over the pacer area, and no problem.
I figure if mine falls out I'll just stick it back in and secure it with duct tape. LOL

A little bit wouldn't go astray in securing those leads in..!
I can see and feel one of my leads, but as I have 3 we can't be sure if its one of the functioning leads or the old fractured lead.. So far hasn't really been a huge issue.. Except for people with a weak stomach who can't handle the sight of it.

Try taping a bar of cocoa butter over the
by kathykat11 - 2012-01-19 11:01:46
the leads, The cocoa butter seems to pass throught the sking and kind of build up right near the surface. it absorbs gradually into the surrounding area but it will cushion the leads until you see your doctor.I put cocoa butter on my sternotomy incision way back in the'70s and it built up in a cocoa butter bar shaped area under my skin. I asked my brother who is a nurse about it and he said cocoa buuter passes through skin easily and acts like our own fat except that it disperses faster.
hope it helps I am having the same issue with my leads coming to the surface and that is what I am doing.
best.
