I have added a picture in the member gallery.
I went in for my one week checkup this morning. When they removed the bandage there was a corner of the incision that was still very slightly open and had creamy discharge... Sorry for TMI... The tech who removed my bandage cleaned it and sent me on my way. It looks better now, as it has started to scab over.
I am worried that when i take my bra off that it will open the corner again. Yes, I know, I'm just a paranoid 23 year old LOL!!
Some of you who have been through it a few times, take a look and see if it looks fine to you :)
Thanks so much and I have found a lot of information!

Bethany you don't have to be anxious. Just get to know the pacemaker and how you feel with it. I think it takes time but it is a part of you and you are bound to be comfy with it soon.
Mine is just a few days old too and my incision looks a lot like yours. The tissue under that gap is sutured closed and if your doctor was happy with it then follow the instructions they gave you and you'll be fine.
Keep checking in. I found a lot of good information here.

Than either one of mine did at the same stage. Keep a watch for heat or redness the doctor was happy with it. And he has a stake in keeping you inection free so I would keep just keep following the instruction which by your picture you obviously have done and you will be good to go before you know it.

Bethany, heck knows you didnt want this.
So.
You are doing OK.
If you can, put your hand on your heart and just feel how good it is to have your Powerhouse ticking over, better than any big V8, in any car you have ever been in.
You have the power.
Bethany, you may well be better than new...look around...there wont be many that can say that..

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
Its an anxious time

when we first get our pm. I think for one week it looks pretty good although I would maybe see about getting a butterfly stitch in that corner. I visited my GP a week after I got mine and she cleaned up site, I had a punctured lung as well so was badly bruised. She put a tape back over it for a few days. If it at all worrys you have it looked at.
Best wishes
