If you werent fine the PM lead wouldnt be hitting your heart and your rate would go back to whatever it did before the PM.
Just remember dont lift for a few weeks.

If it makes you feel better check your vitals for 24 hrs and just make sure they stay around the same ...

I am a worrier to but let God does his work ..

Good luck ...

Hi jeanmarie, So many opinions about above shoulder reaching. My 4th PM was an implant & leads on my right side. My surgeon had me take off my arm sling in the hospital & said it was not needed. He assured me that I would be limited enough by my own body's alarm system which responds with "ouch" before doing any harm to his implant hardware. As it turned out this has been the most comfortable for me of all 4 PMs' and I will have him do my next replacement. I'm sure that my surgeon also considered my 18 years of 3 previous implant surgeries & pain memories from the very 1st in 1992. As others have posted of severe left shoulder electrical nerve shocking during the 12 hour flat bed stay, that memory alone kept me very cautious with arm lifting. Remember, it's always best to follow your surgeon's orders. donb
