Tanning Beds?

I really want to go to the tanning bed but I haven't since being my defibrillator. Is it cool if I go or do I have to start fake tanning...?

I was told by Medtronic people that its ok to go to a tanning bed I use to go to them alot when I first got my pacer and it never bothered me but I am going to start going to them again I quit for a while cause I was pregnant with my daughter

I like the sun better.

As for the skin over the pacer, I've never had an issue with it being any different than the rest of my skin. Living in the desert I'm outside a lot without a shirt and avoid sun screen as well. The skin over my pacer looks the same as anywhere else. Genetics plays a big part in it.

l have used them since having my PM & have never had a problem.
lf you didnt have a problem before with your skin then l would be suprised if you do now but my skin tans easily so l have never had that worry. But as l said l have a PM which is not affected by the tanning equipment but not sure about a defib'?
Maybe check with your tech?
