Do any of the wires for pacemaker extend into upper left shoulder?

Hello Spiro,

To answer your question about a lead going into the left shoulder, the answer is no.

For the route the leads take go to the web site Tracey has listed in her comment shown below. It shows perfectly what I was trying to muddle through with comments I have deleted.

Now my guess about your left shoulder, look at the location of your pacemaker. When they implant it they have to do a good bit of cutting the surrounding tissues and then do some pushing to get the pacemaker in place. At least that is what thy told me that caused my sore left shoulder.

Sympathetic pain

They went through the vein under the collar bone in my left shoulder. I experienced pain which felt like stiff wires in my chest. I now have a spot on my back that is sore with sympathetic pain. A cold compress and a little rubbing helps.

Drinking water, mild exercise, staying on meds, and therapy dogs have helped. You can't beat the cold nose and a warm heart.
