Sinus node removal

Hi everyone, it has been awhile since I have posted but I'm looking for any answers I can find. After 7 ablations which included both sinus and av node I am still having problems with the sinus node. After seening the dr today he has possibly suggested a total sinus node removal and installing a epicardial pacemaker on top of the heart. He has to talk to a few of my other drs first to decide what to do but said this may be what they have to do to help me. Has anyone ever had that done? Just a few things I have found said it was done in an open heart kind of surgery and I'm not sure I want to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
