Looking for answers
Hi all!
I just have a few questions that are a little abnormal and I can't find much online. After having 7 ablations to sinus and av node I'm still having problems with the sinus node. I recently was sent to a cardiovascular surgeon for a possible maze procedure and he talked about removing the sinus node completely. He talked a little about the surgery but not a lot other than it hasn't been done in years but is possible and said that it would be open heart. The problem is when I am atrial sensing my chest pounds, nauseated, chest pressure, and dizziness. When I am pacing in both nodes I have no symptoms. They have tried to kill the sinus node but keeps returning. Has anyone heard of anything like this? The drs are stumpted and are trying to find answers. I had a stress echo this week looking at the conduction of the blood flow through the heart and that looked good, they thought maybe the mitral valves were closing too soon but that doesn't seem to be the case.
My other question is when I was looking online at my surgery hx it said that I had atrium reconstruction without bypass. Is this just from the ablations or have they done more than what I know? Sometimes I think they don't tell us everything that happens during surgery.
If anyone has any insight to any of this I would appreciate the feedback.
