Hi, this sounds weird, but I was wondering if anyone has ever felt a kind of "rocking motion" when their heart beats with the PM? It creates kind of a circular motion that I can feel not only in my chest, but all the way up into my head. I had to have the atrial lead fixed on December 18, 2012, and have been taking it real easy and recuperating fairly well since then. Today I was struggling to open a new jar of peanut butter, and felt a pain when I was trying to hold the bottom of the jar with my left hand (the side the PM is on) and twist with my right hand. Since I did this, this rocking thing has started. I hope I didn't do anything to the lead.
Thanks,
Tim

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.

Same day I had my revision and placement under the muscle. I also cant do the Twist thing yet - not the dance, the opening of jars etc. Remember you are not "holding " the jar you are twisting in the opposite direction and using the muscle your PM is placed on/in/under. As we are almost 4 weeks in now in my humble opinion the lead should be pretty stable by now. How tight was the jar?
Take your BP if you have a monitor when this rocking thing happens as I have a kind of a pounding in chest and head at times which sound similar (so difficult to describe these wierd symptoms) and my BP is then always sky high. Settles down eventually.
Take it slow and listen to your body.

Shirley
