A lot of the answers depend on why she has the icd, and if she paces.
can she ride rides? Yes, but not the newer coasters with magnetic brakes
whats the tingling sensation she feels by her icd? most likely it's the nerves knitting back together
she takes metroprolol are mood swings common? Depression and nervousness are known side effects, not sure about mood swings. When I was on it, my biggest problems was a foggy brain, almost like being drunk. However, mood swings are very common after getting an icd or any heart problems/procedures. Drs don't usually discuss emotional healing but it can often take much longer than physical healing.
can she ride four wheelers? Yes, but if she paces and uses a feature called rate response, it may make her heart rate speed up
when was ur first shock? I have a pm, not icd so not applicable to me. Many people have icd's and never get shocked
what should i do when she has her first shock? ask her dr, but I would imagine call him asap. If it's after hours, call 911
is depression common? yes. There is a difference between a bit of the blues and a medical depression. If she's down, has mood swings, etc, it will likely get better as she heals and adjusts. If it reaches the point where it affects her daily life, talk to a professional. Depression is a disease and will not go away on its own.
can she have a baby? probably. Simply having a pm or icd doesn't prevent us from having a baby, but the reason why she has it may make her a higher risk. This is a question for her dr. I had 2 babies after I got mine, no problems.
what should she stay away from? big magnets, arc welding, the metal detectors at the airport. walk quickly through store security systems, they're safe but don't linger. I was told no when I looked into laser hair removal. Really, not much!
