reaction to my new ICD?

I am still having sore mouth issues, have even stopped my Metoprolol now (past 24 hours). When I get up in the morning my mouth isn't too bad, but as the day goes by the redder my mouth becomes and the more painful. I thought maybe I was much better this AM. but I just looked and my mouth and gums are growing very red again. Has anyone heard of a person getting a reaction from their Device in and of itself? I do not have a fever nor is the area around my ICD inflamed. PS. by the way, went to my Doctor yesterday because I'm still having issues and he put a monitor on me for what was to be 7 days. I just got a call and because of something this monitor sent during the last 24 hours he wants to see me ASAP! scary. Jim
