HAS ANYONE EXPIENCED CHEST MUSCLE TWITCHES AFTER A WEEK OR SO AFTER HAVING THEIE ICD DEVICE INSTALOLED ?

Yes, I had muscle twitches for about a month after my CRT-D was installed on Nov 18, 2013. Some in the chest and some in the upper arm muscle. Kind of freaked me out at first. So I called the doctors office. They asked me to come in to make sure the leads were placed correctly. Everything was good. I still get a twitch here and there. Good Luck.

I got twitches bad with my first one 1999. Twitches that jolted me out of the chair. The dr who implanted it told me it wasn't possible and brushed me off. Got a 2nd opinion and that Dr acknowledged it could happen and adjusted the settings. Totally resolved the problem. This 2nd Dr put in 2 more pacers w no problems. Now I have a new dr again and I've got twitches again with a device put in 2 weeks ago. Dejavu I'm told it doesn't happen, they can't find a problem, live with it. I'm off to find another dr since I know it can be resolved. I'm just thankful I've been through this enough times to know it does happen and can be resolved. If it doesn't feel right, find a dr that's willing to take the time to make you comfortable.
