.....love this! I did a Google search for "Tripped ICD heart device."

It took me to the PATENT for a system to keep you from getting too high a current in the event that There is too low a resistance in the lead system for doing the DeFib shock.

Atleast from my own experience, when I refer to an ICD as having "tripped", I usually mean that is has reached ERI. I don't think there's an official application of the phrase "tripped" as far as I know.
