bradycardia with ICD
I have a St Jude ICD set up for Resynch therapy. The base rate is 60 beats per min and the max rate is 120 beats per min. The rate sensor is on. Sometimes at rest, my heart rate will drop to the low 50's and upon exertion it will drop to the mid 40's. Shouldn't the device kick in to prevent these low readings? The report the tech gave me a copy of indicates that the device is functioning properly. The ICD was implanted in july of 2009 and has about 6 months of battery left. The rate sensor was turned on (on my request) in may of 2014. Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
