Battery Life

I have had my ICD for a little over 5 years. At my interrogation last week, I was told the battery is at 2.98. At 2.60 it will need to be changed. Does anyone have any idea of how long this might be. The EP had no idea, just guesses. I pace minimally and I have never been shocked. Thank you for your help.

Battery life

I have had my PM for 9 years and the battery is reaching the end of its run. At the last check up the technician told me that the battery had a minimum of 9 months and a maximum of 2 years left. This looks like a wide range, but I know that they are conservative so probably the battery will last more than 9 months. At any rate they will replace my PM within 6 months or so.

A PM technician should be able to give you an estimate of how much time is left in the battery.

BTW, if you are pacing minimally 5 years look short for battery life, but I don't know what those numbers mean.

Thank you both for your comments. I kind of suspected this was the case, but thought I'd get some feedback from you. I appreciate it!
