Left arm numness and stiffness

Hello Form,

Post 5 months of ICD implant, I had been living a very comortable life till the time (5 days ago), I sarted getting this numness and later hard muscle on my left arm. Feels like the blook circulation has stopped.

With this condition I went to my doctor who advised that the lead (single chamber ICD) that is landing in my heart is causing the stoppage in blood flow so he advised me to go by process and as first therapy, he increased the doze of one my medicine (loprine) to double. This will further dilute my blood and will help circulate blood.

The next stage will be a test by which he will insert some liquid in my vains (from left hand) to see the blood flow (it will about 15 minutes procedure). Not sure though what else he will use a treatment.

I am looking for an advise from this forum if someone ever experiend this situation before and what treatment they used that I can suggest to my doctor as well.

I did not get a chance to go through the content that you have suggested but I will definitely go through these.

So here is the update.

My arm was swallow for about a week and at times it was painful too.. As per doctor's advice, I took loprine medicine twice the quantity I used to have (150mg) and I think it further diluted blood and improved the blood flow.

The other useful advice was that I kept on moving my arm during the day at various angles (not so rigorous though) and that too helped.

At the moment, I am back to normal routine now and will go for a routine checkup soon.

The cause of the issue is still not known. I just hope this do not appear again.
