I have had my pacemaker since July 2013. My device checks have all been normal. In the last few weeks, however, I have had a distinct feeling that a lead is out of place in my heart/chest. This does not resemble anything that I have felt before. It literally feels like a wire is just hanging around in my chest! Many thanks for your insight! (MedEditor)

Describe "feeling"

You say that you have a "feeling" The lead is loose. But can you tell us what exactly you actually feel? Do you have pain? Is there swelling or any symptoms you can actually describe? "I have a feeling" is just a thought. Tomorrow will be 8 weeks since my dual lead pm implant. Wish I could be of more help, but I'm really new to this myself. Good luck!
You know you're wired when...
You have a dymo-powered bike.

Today I explained everything to my doctor, he set my lower rate back to 80 and I felt an immediate improvement.
Loose lead

I was fitted with a biotronic dual chamber pacemaker in January this year and a few days after that a lead came loose and I had to have another operation to repair it. In my case I felt a fluttering feeling in my chest on the opposite side from the pacemaker. This progressed to a very sharp pain in my left shoulder. I was later told that this was referred pain from my diaphragm as the screw on the end of the lead had embedded itself in the diaphragm.I hope this helps but it is probably a good idea to get it checked anyway.
