Hi everybody
I am joining because I have had a ICD for 16 years, and I have had three ICDs in that time. I have had several episodes in that time but I really believe that the ICD saved my life. I am 77 years old.
I just want to tell people that in time youy come to accept the ICD and after a time hardly think about it at all.

That was an encouragement to me. I don't have an ICD - yet. I have a feeling that it may be in my future but until then, I enjoy hearing positive experiences like yours.

Thank you so much!

Thanks bribet

Wish you happy life with your life saving friend.

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
