Need to find a replacement battery

Hi everyone who read my post ,

I need a replacement battery for my icd device but i dont know where to bye it. I live in Albania and here is no place when i can find it. If someone can give me some adreeses where i can find seling recharge i will be very greatful.

Initially I had the same confusion. Everybody talks just talks about needing to "replace the battery." They never say "take out the old ICD and put in a new one," but that's what really happens. It's more or less the same operation as getting an ICD was the first time.

I don't know anything about the medical system in Albania, but I would say you need to go back to the doctor or clinic or hospital where your device was put in. They can explain what needs to happen now.

They call it "replacing the battery" but it is the whole ICD device that will get replaced. If your leads are working fine they won't need to replace them....just so you know.

So your Doctor should be scheduling an appointment for you for the surgery.

The battery is part of the lead generating device, it is all one unit. They are prescription so your doctor would obtain it for you when he does the surgery. Any doctor who does not have the connections to do this, is not a doctor you want doing the surgery!
