I have a biventricular device. I had my first shock. Actually this is my second shock. My first came with a Boston Scientific device. My Second was with Medtronics Device. The shocks usally come when I am in bed. This shock woke me out of a sound sleep. It felt like a death angel reached inside my body and pulled my soul out and said mid way...sorry, wrong person! That is a scary feeling. I do have a side effect of the shocks... I am scared to sleep due to the fact the shocks come when I am at rest. I only had two...but man, they scare the heck out of you.

I really hope you are doing well after this event. I, too, was "shocked" this year, in March about 6 times in a ROW. So I understand your fears and all, but just know that this device is your friend in the end.
I really wanted to tell you that your description of the angel was the most precise and FUNNIEST thing I heard. That is exactly what it is like. I told people it was like I was pulled off earth and put back on really fast. But the angel deal is more like it, lol. Keep that humor, it helps. Thanks for making me smile at a very scary situation. I hope in time you may do the same. All the best to you.
Whew

Sounds scary indeed. I haven't had one yet, I've had my unit since 8.2.13. Your description is great though! Sounded like a sentence out of a novel. I hope you are feeling better! Alohe from Hawaii!
You know you're wired when...
Your kids call you Cyborg.

I consider my device to be so reliable, that I never think about a failure.
Why?

Are the shocks appropriate or inappropriate? What are your interrogations showing?
Sorry you are going through this, but, it they are appropriate, they are saving your life!
