Well was back in for my treadmill test, follow on from 24 Holter monitor, then back x2 for more tweaking.
Monitor showed what I've said for a while HR 110bpm most of the time, treadmill along with various adjustments showed 2:1 HB and at times complete HB, and atypical Aflutter/tachycardia for most of the test period . May explain why I'm getting PM tachy. Tried a couple of days with minimal setting put was so puffed and could hardly climb one short flight of stairs, but slept better as my HR was good and low, got reset with a bit more oomph but had a rubbish night, and back to ache in chest and ?phonetic pacing.
Going to try Donedarone again to see if that settles the Af/t then will try and get the PM setting sorted.
If this doesn't work I will be referred for god knows what.
All I can see is another year of feeling so bloody awful again.
Is it really so difficult to pick things up when they know a patients history, I all ways feel I am being a wimp (totally lost it at the clinic yesterday, big boohoo) but so worn out.
Will get the meds next week so here goes.
Had not much success with Donedarone but that was pre PM and it was contra indicatory so fingers x.

So much NiceNiecey, A few kind words does really help, the Dr and the Techs are lovely and I'm now friends with the secretary who has been a god send.
But there is still the feeling of been left in limbo.
The donedarone like a lot of anti arrhythmias slow your HR and cause quite serious problems if you have HB, however with the PM in, my HR will not drop too low.
When they dropped my settings to minimum for a couple of days I actually felt better at night as there wasn't the tachy.
So lets hope this round of meds help.
Stress is a word I don't like to use but this last few weeks I really have felt STRESSED!!!

What a Lot to Process

Hi Jane.
What a journey you've had; it sounds positively awful. My first year basically sucked, too, but your problems sound much more complicated than mine do. And now I've had my PM for over 2 years and things are much improved.
A resting HR of 110 would make anyone feel crummy. And you aren't being a wimp! It's just a lot to process, especially when no one necessarily knows exactly how to make it all better.
Why was the Dronedarone contraindicated prior to the PM but not now?
Not to dump another thing into the mix but . . . I hope they told you that second degree heart block can quickly turn into complete heart block. During that first year, that's what happened to me. But the good news was: I had the PM already and I never even knew anything "new" happened until I went for a check up.
I saw that one of the fellas on here suggested a sleep study. Did you ever pursue that? I know it's just one more thing to do but it may actually be an issue. How has your sleep been lately?
Keep posting and letting us know how you're making out.
Hang in there, Jane. It WILL get better.
