Winky backing

I ride and jump horses, work out on the elliptical / gym.
I have had problems lately with shortness of breath while jumping my horse and getting light headed. After a stress test it was found as I near my 145 top end limit I start to throw in extra ventricular beats and then go 2 to 1 and I winkyback!!!
It is difficult to gauge what my pulse is on a jumping course but I assume this is what is happening. They are not sure whether the motion of my horse is increasing my heart rate along with the exercise as really I feel my heart rate should not go up that high riding.
Does anyone have similar experiences?
What if I ignore it and keep winkybacking? Is this dangerous and have a long term effect?

PM Wenckebach

If the problem is in the AV node the PM can cause Wenckebach.
There are a couple of setting that can affect it. They include delays in the AV mode trigger and maximum tracking rate.
Depending on which settings it is the PM can go into 2:1 block or start at something like a 12:11 and then 6:5, etc as the atria rate increases.
If it is physiological then it could be caused by some meds.
Rate response

Is your rate response sensor switched on, and if so, what pacemaker model do you have? Sounds very much like your rate response sensor (motion sensor) is causing your heart rate to increase too much when you ride your horse.
A Wenckebach 2:1 block is physiological, the AV-node goes into it at high atrial rates, too. So, it's not just a pacemaker thing. It's not dangerous, it protects you against a high atrial rate causing a dangerously hight ventricular rate. In some pacemakers you can program the rate at which the pacemaker goes into a Wenckebach block.
You know you're wired when...
Like the Energizer Bunny, you keep going.
