Getting back to running

I've had my dual lead ICD for a year. After 2 months I needed my atrial lead re anchored but since then it's been ok and the device hasn't paced or bumped me.
I've posted here before and received good info and comments. Prior to an episode of Poly VT I did a lot of cycling, swimming and running to a good standard. I'd like to think now about doing them again, perhaps not competitively but in some form. I swim a bit now but across the board I have a latent fear of pushing it. Meaning as soon as my heart starts working and I can feel it I back off. Running scared in other words.
Any similar experiences out there?

normal!

Those feelings are perfectly normal! If your doctor cleared you to run, it' s ok. You've run before so you know the difference between pushing it and PUSHING it. You can push enough for a good workout without overdoing it. If you still feel uncomfortable getting started, ask if you can have a few visits to cardiac rehab. There you'll work out but be supervised and monitored so you can learn your new limits in a safe environment.
Meds?

Thank you, mine is set to 215 but what's getting me is that feeling when the heart starts working. Of course I then panic which sets the adrenalin off. When I've had VT episodes they have come from 110 not necessarily when I'm maxed out at threshold.
You know you're wired when...
You can hear your heartbeat in your cell phone.

It's much better to live with a pacemaker than to risk your life without one.
meds?

I can see why that would make you nervous! Are you on meds to prevent VT? If you are, theoretically you should be fine. I know trusting it is easier said than done.
I'm on meds for AT and can't get over 130 anymore on my own. Meds are fun, lol, without it I race too much, with it I stay so low they turned on rate response to get my rate up enough to work out.
