How to know the battery of pacemaker is getting lo

I am a diabetic patient who got the pacemaker implanted in 2008. During my last test in Feb 2015, I was told 3 years battery life is still remaining. Of late I am having dizziness feeling when I try to get out of my bed. Can it be due to weak battery or is it related to some other problem like spondylitis- a blind guess!!

The pm works exactly the same right up until the very end. It can go into a mode with limited function at the very end but you are nowhere close to that. You'll have a lot of notice before that happens, and most of us have it changed out before it changes mode so we never have a change in pacing.

Dizziness

I don't think the battery had anything to do with the dizziness. I had my first pacemaker implanted in 2003. It lasted until 2011 and the technician was able tell this for a year or more before it went out so that they were ready to put a new one in at the proper time. I also am dizzy when I get out of bed but my problem is because of low blood pressure. Also happens after sitting for extended period of time. I think you have something else other than battery problems.

You know you're wired when...

You can feel your fingers and toes again.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
