Icd shock
I had an icd implant 2/17/2015. 2 wires. I was getting weekly mild to medium shocks once a week at the same time. 1:45 AM. Would set me right up in bed! The first time I thought it was normal, after the second time I called the doctor and saw the Medtronic tech. She did some computer stuff and managed to shock me again. I jumped and she jumped. She said the Icd was doing a self check, never had that reaction from someone before. The tech talked to my cardio, he said to turn that function off. It has not happened since. Has anyone else heard of this? Should I look into this further?

When I first got my ICD I woke up in the middle of the night one night with a weird tingling sensation in my chest. By the time I was awake enough to determine what it was, it was gone. The next week I had my first interrogation after leaving the hospital post-implant.
The Device Tech was checking my ICD and told me she was going to pace my heart at a higher rate as part of the test. There was that feeling I had the previous night!!! It wasn't painful, just felt like something crawling inside my chest. She explained that my unit was set to totally self test once per week and that the pacing exercise was part of the test. She reset that portion to occur every three months....
Sounds like you were experiencing the same thing.
