I understand the x-ray checks the leads... cannot see how it can mean anything with the battery which is already known to be replaced by next month. As Friday is a little over two months of the approximately three months left on the life of the battery.
The cardiologist only said that the battery is running low/battery leads to be changed in about three months in early November.. nothing about the leads possibly having problems.
What does anyone have to say about this issue?
Thank you.

When I went in the Dr. said I had at least 6 months left on my battery. The next week I started having big problems.I couldn't walk to kitchen without having to rest . I called but the nurse informed me I just been in . She finally gave me an appointment for 6 weeks out. When my daughter heard this she called & I was seen the next day. They found my battery to be dead.
I have since read that this pm is recalling some for fast battery end This a new Dr. MY regular Dr. retired. I,m looking for another new DR. This one wants to change
a lead that the old Dr. said he wouldn't. good luck. Diane

Since I got my pacemaker, I don't pass out anymore! That's a blessing in itself.

There were no problems when the device was interrogated every three months in house and the weekly and perhaps daily checks through the bedside checks.
So then what does the x-ray checking three days prior to the replacement without there being an issues with the interrogations?
