I checked into the hospital on New Year's Eve for a pacemaker atrial lead replacement & the EKG revealed I was back in AFib (I was cardioverted in early December and I'm 5½ months post-OHS). So I had an atrial ablation right before my "little zipper" incision was reopened (for a 3rd time) for the atrial PM lead replacement. The surgeon said he "found a home" for the lead and, hopefully, it'll stay put since this is the 3rd atrial lead I've had in 13 months.
My pacemaker site is very sore & I'm in a sling at night, but my heart is once again in sinus rhythm & both PM leads are firing. Here's to a healthy, 100% battery-operated new year!

I had a pacemaker since 2002 and ever since then my life has been a total blessing.

That doesn't sounds like the most fun way to spend NYE! Glad everything seems to be OK now. Best wishes for a healthy 2016 and I hope that lead stays put.
Take good care,
Jen
