Shocks

Hi all, I had a heart block and on September 17th had. Pacemaker put in. Since than I have had shock like feeling in my side where the leads are and they happen often. Just wondering if anyone else experience this?

Shock or jump?

I don't feel any pain but my device jumps lol. I can feel it and you can see it moving. I'm used to it now, has been happening for years. It sometimes happens when I've been on the treadmill for a long time, or in bed if I've been lying on it, like it's pressing on a nerve. Told docs a few years ago but they said nothing to worry about.

Hi hot heart, thank you so much for your response. Like you I am getting use to the shocks I am getting in my side although I think mine are caused from my leads. I can be sleeping or just sitting when it happens. I did mention it to the cardiac doc but he did not seemed concerned. I do hope it lessens in time. All is so new to me and any input I get I do appreciate. Thank you again

I had these for a while after implant. The technician told me it was because of the leads not being fully seated yet and that they would stop within a few months of initial implant and they have. I felt them when lying on my side or when stretching. The tech was able to recreat the sensation in the lab to confirm. If this is still going on years after implant I would press for diagnostic check.

Thanks for your comment. The shock like sensation in my side do seem to be less now and I am hopeful will cease in time.
