Heart Virus

Hi everyone,

I'm 62 years young and last winter I had a bad chest cold/virus that must have attacked my heart. In two months my heart was enlarged, EF was down to 24% and my Mitral valve was compromised. I couldn't have open heart to repair the valve due to the low EF. Mayo Clinic place a Mitra-Clip in the heart to somewhat repair the valve and reduce the regurgitation, that worked. With that they were hoping that my heart would bounce back close to normal. A year later my EF is at 34% and with Sick Sinus Syndrome. I have just returned from Mayo with a newly implanted ICD/Pacemaker. I am still apprehensive of what I will be able to do or not do.
Finding this site has helped me with most of my fears.

Thank You Everyone!!!!
