had pace maker interrogation today and my heart rate haven't been back down to 60bpm yet. Is this normal? even when I,m resting my heart rate is between 88 and 97 bpm.. my pacemaker tech said everything was fine when he did the interrogation but when I got home my heart rate never got back down to 60 bpm..

85

If your HR was 85 before getting out of bed, then I would agree that it seems a little high. If you were already up and around, that is a different story. You obviously don't want to make yourself paranoid, but it might be a good idea to continue to monitor it occasionally. It should drop back while you are sleeping, which is why I suggested checking it before you get out of bed in the morning.
As I had said, your Doc and the pacer tech can interrogate your PM and see exactly what is going-on. You just need to insist that they tell you. I mean that you need to know more than them simply saying everything is O.K.
Hey, the most important thing is; how you feel. If you feel good, then not to worry. If you don't, then the doc needs to give you answers and maybe make some adjustments.
It is pretty normal to be a little hypervigilant checking our HR after getting a PM. Sometimes we can make ourselves a little crazy by doing so! However, not to worry, we all have our ups and downs.
Sincerely,
David

thanks David..i had my pm interrogated yesterday I saw the results I didn't have any abnormal going on.. I felt when he was pacing it.. I'm jut paranoid and making myself crazy about my pm.. I just taled to my nurse and dr and she assured me that they check my pm results and if something was going on they would call me.. I really appreciate all the feedback.. that eases my mind 100%.. thanks,

I wouldn't worry

Your PM is set to 60 to stop your heart rate dropping below that, so I wouldn't worry too much, as normal resting rate is between 60-100.
Mine is also set at 60, but I'm the opposite way to you, my heart rate rarely gets above 45.
I agree

I agree with Chatterbox. I have experienced the same symptoms as you at times. There are times when my heart rate seems much faster than it should be (at rest), but that has been going-on for many years. There are other times when it seems much slower than it should be, but it never drops below my minimum setting of 50 bpm. I think that sometimes it is affected by stress and/or who knows? Usually, a higher rate is a good thing. As long as it is not unreasonably high. You should check it when you wake in the morning before getting out of bed. It should be lower then.
In any case, if you continue to have concerns, you should discuss it with your doc. When they interrogate your PM, they can see the range of your heart rate over time. So they should be able to tell you the percentage of time you are over 60, 70, 80, etc.
