Low Battery

St Jude ICD Had battery check in early February, third week in February ICD made a high speed vibrating noise. Went to doctor to have battery checked found out battery needs to be replaced within the next four weeks. No know way to measure the length of battery to within a month.Battery use can very depends on person and if the defibrillator is used and how often the person depends on pacemaker, activity, readout storage is also a contribulating, factor that can attribute to usage

That's the way it works. They can predict, but only within a month or so. However, they do not suddenly stop working. There is a safety window built in of approx 3 months. If it switched modes before you had it replaced, some of the function would be turned off but you'd still be safe. It's always best to do it before that if you can.

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker interferes with your electronic scale.
