Is chain saws the only gas operated tools you have to avoid?

My PM was implanted in 1986 and I have not avoided any power tools. I have used chain saws for hours on-end as well as about every power tool you can think of. I've also worked with and closely around huge electric motors and generators without incident. I even worked with a high horsepower pump coupling that utilized rare earth magnets. I used caution not to get it too close to my PM, but again, without incident.
Don't get me wrong, I am not recommending the use of a chain saw or anything the manufacturer cautions against. Only trying to let you know that you aren't as fragile as some would have you believe.

I've operated chainsaws, lawnmowers, grinders ect, ect. Have never had any problems. I have a Medtronic RVDR01 dual leads
and have never had a single problem. I am a Locomotive Engineer and if you read up on traction motors for a locomotive, they are massive elecric motors an they don't affect mine at all. I guess it depends on the pacemaker. I've operated my 1500 watt microwave and stood a foot away, no problem. Again, I believe that it is either the pacemaker or the person or a combination of both.
Safety first (kinda)

I'm a farmer and play in the woods all the time. My EP says to not use my chainsaws, older or poorly maintained tools can interfere with your implant if there is an electrical short. I told her my equipment is maintained to an excellent level. She admitted that it's basically more of a company policy to reccomend not using potentially lethal equipment "just in case you happen to be defibrillated while using it". Haven't had a problem yet.

I haven't avoided any tools since my first pm, 1987.
