Does anyone else have palpitations still ever so often with their ICD. Just wondering how conman this is.

I am about 6 weeks post PM implant and I get them quite often along with PVC's. I figure the PM is doing it's job as they go away at some point so I don't worry too much about them. PVC's are much less since my doctor put me on metoprolol 50mg.

I still have them also, every day. I've had my ICD 6 years. I kind of doubt they'll ever go away and I've gotten used to them.

I get that little flutter in my throat, too, every so often. I just sit and wait for it to go away. Sometimes I try to make myself burp thinking that will make it go away. But it doesn't. I actually have become a better burper, though.
It never lasts more than 10 to 15 seconds. At first I was so scared that I was about to get shocked, but after a while that fear went away. I've had my ICD for about 5 years now.

How mine went away

Magnesium, potassium supplements and an increased resting heart have pretty eliminated mine. I was getting. Them when my heart rate was still a little low so it didn't know how to react. Went from 55 to 66 bpm and now I'm as happy as anything. Hope you find some relief , none of the medications they tried worked for me except the vitamins.
Thanks

Thanks everyone for your inputs. It eases my mind. I take supplements of magnesium and stuff. Just never really paid much attention to them I guess till I got thumped. Then it seems your senses are more aware. Love this group. Have a great one everyone and thanks again

I get PVC's (premature ventricular contractions) often. I have had them run in groups for several days in a row, then will stop and won't have any for weeks.
I use an AliveCor ECG on my iPhone which shows the PVC's quite clearly.
My Cardiologist calls them "benign," I call them irritating as hell!
