Check Up Q

So, mid-October 2015 I had my ICD implant. I feel a million times better after having an ejection fraction 8-15% with my heart failure. They are just now giving me a full follow-up over the next 3 days as they said they wouldn't know how effective the ICD implant was for me until now. My Q is...if I feel 100 times better, why isnt that enough to show it's effective? They said if it has not been effective my next step is LVAD and if that doesn't work then heart transplant. Someone, please share your experience and help! Any advice or stories similar to mine help. It's so hard as I don't want my kids to be left w/o me so early in life or become my parent.

So go by how you feel. It is common for the Doctors to wait until 5-6 months to see if your ICD has improved your condition. It sounds like it has... so stay positive.

The Doctors will go by how you feel too but they are also being thorough and the tests give them a lot of information.

My EF was 24% when I was told I needed an ICD. 6-8 months later it was 50%. My last Echo showed 55%....7 years later. They can only get this information from tests.

So stay positive....it sounds good.

Sorry in advance for my poor english

I would like to know if my EF 5 years ago 71% now decrease to 52%..could it be HF ? what is signs of HF ?

And which treatment better for HF..ICD or LVAD ? any difference between those two ?

Im so scared bcos of i got diagnosed with VT last month and i feel so weak lately like im gonna pass out anytime
