Even tired now

Hello I'm new I'm a 69 year old gent with a pacemaker fitted last December but since I've had it fitted I've been in and out of hospital three times and only once was my pacemaker checked but I still feel tired and dizzy and I can't take beta blockers nor calcium blockers nor digitoxin though the hospital where I had the pacemaker fitted want me to try 1.25of bisoprolol again but it gives me terrible tummy ache. I must admit since I had the pacemaker fitted I feel worse I cannot stand as I feel dizzy my blood count is low I have lost the nerve to drive and I feel trapped indoors does anyone else ever encouncountered this.

Lousy hospitals

I feel that a hospital is the worst possible place for a man to "get better" . Visit either your cardiologist and or your EP ... I am certain that your PM will need adjustments ... They will help better than others . Encountered this , not me, I am fairly fortunate, older, but healthier, I know not ..Sill have marginal kidneys and hypertension (147/46/65) .. .. and the meds are still in a state of flux ..

It may be anxiety

I am 64 years old and was fitted with a dual lead St Judes pacemaker back in 2014 and just like yourself I experienced the dizziness (more of a light/foggy head) and still do to this day. I too cannot tolerate beta blockers, calcium channels and digoxin, I also cannot tolerate Flecainide that I take for my Afib but I must as I only have 3 choices for the arrythmyias (beta blocker/ Amerioderone/ Flecainide) I can't tolerate a BB, Amerioderone I can't take because of a lung problem and Flecainide....well its as bad as Sotalol if not worse but I don't have a choice. Over the past couple of years what I have found is that some of these heart medications actually put you into a state of anxiety/depression just by swallowing the things and that anxiety has a horrible affect on your body overall. Sure you may have a low blood count etc, but anxiety causes all the problems you have listed. I know, I have recently undergone an ablation for my Afib to try and get me off these awful drugs, but at this very point in time I am in the biggest spiral of anxiety I have ever been in probably set off by drugs, but intensified by stupid thoughts that I add to the mix. Whatever you do talk to a professional if you think you might have anxiety/depression. It's common for people with cardiac problems.
